SERMON KILLERS


1.     Poorly constructed introduction.
2.     Telling stories that are not relevant.
3.     Too many Points.
4.     Resistance to feedback.
5.     Preaching without tender heart.
6.     Preaching from an indisciplined heart.
7.     Preaching that lacks good study.
8.     Lack of clarity of speech.
9.     Too long message.
10.                         Lack of Organization.
11.                         Sermon without bible.
12.                         Sermon that doesn’t harmonize with truth.
13.                         Non result full & tactless sermons.
14.                         Scolding/insulting on the pulpit.
15.                         Scaring people instead of bringing them up.
16.                         Drawing attention to the preacher.
17.                         Preaching flying sermon- No topic & no bible passages.
18.                        They are predictable (e.g. the preacher uses always the same method for starting.)
19.                        They are unprepared.
20.                        They are not fresh.
21.                        They are too dull.
22.                         Ignorant of the experiences of the day of the audience. (They describe the preacher’s situation not the listener’s.)
23.                         Spend 1 hour in your study, for every 10 minutes you will spend on the altar.
24.                         Inability to tell people something new.
